bostonNeed some last minute ideas for New Years Eve? Check out these 5 - everything from clubs and bars to family friendly activities.

1."Bessie’s New Years Eve Pajama Dance Party

The Children’s Discovery Museum in Acton is throwing a New Year’s Eve day party this year that lets you and your kids celebrate the new year in the early afternoon on December 31. This way, your children can have fun and get to bed on time. And you can still go out at night. Join the Museum’s mascot, Bessie the green dinosaur, for a dance party as you count down to 12. (12 noon, that is!)"

2. "Jay-Z and Beyoncé night at Back Bay Harry’s

Celebrate the end of 2015 like (America’s version of) royalty. Back Bay Harry’s is throwing a Bey and Jay-themed party at the turn of the new year. Concert performances will be projected on a big screen, and a four-course prix fixe meal based on their hottest tracks will be served up–“‘Baby Boy’ beef tenderloin carpaccio, ‘Big Pimpin’’ Statler chicken breast, and ‘Crazy in Love’ molten chocolate cake with brûléed Bey-nanas” are on the menu. And cocktail dress is required since the hip-hop moguls never step out in less than the best."

3. "Candibar/Royale/Guilt

This New Year’s Eve, Candibar is offering VIP tickets that get you access to Candibar’s neighbors, nightclubs Royale and Guilt. For a fairly average ticket price–$69–you get access to three different spots on Tremont Street. Less-expensive general admission tickets are also available, which just gets you into Candibar, but still includes complimentary party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and a televised broadcast of the Times Square ball drop."

4. "Top of the Hub

Spend New Year’s Eve at the Prudential Center’s top-floor restaurant, which boasts (arguably) the best view of Boston you can find. You know what that means: prime view of the fireworks. The Top of the Hub has a prix fixe, four-course menu on New Year’s Eve that does not include beverages and changes depending on when you go (later seating times have higher prices.) There will be live music, and each guest will start their meal with complimentary champagne. Très luxe."

5. "First Night

Boston’s buffet of New Year’s Eve events is back again. This event has it all: live music at Berklee, ice sculptures, face painting, photos with Elsa from Frozen, and, of course, fireworks. This year, First Night is free, thanks to generous sponsors and donors, and the festivities carry on into the new year with more events on January 1. All people of all ages are welcome."
