What’s in a Name?
The Pacer is a 38-unit new construction, boutique hotel-style condo building that CHARLESGATE is listing for sale in the red hot East Boston market!
The Pacer is steps from the old Suffolk Downs Horse Racing Track which will be home to the largest development in the history of the City of Boston (think Assembly Row on steroids). Very exciting stuff!
Why is this building named "The Pacer"?
A question we are often asked is why the building is named The Pacer. This name is a play on words drawing from the history of the Suffolk Downs site (which this building essentially touches). The Pacer is a horse racing term that can have several meanings, one of which is to describe a horse that shoots out of the gate, leads, and sets the pace out in front of the rest of the pack. In this same way, this building is out in front of the massive and history making Suffolk Downs Development.
The condos at The Pacer are leading the way as the first new homeownership opportunity sitting on the edge of the development site, as well as being the only elevator, amenitized building to buy a condo in on the market in this part of East Boston. As the construction of the $8 billion Suffolk Downs redevelopment continues (adding destination retail shopping, MBTA improvements, stores & restaurants, parks, trails, more housing, and office space in an entirely new neighborhood), owners at The Pacer will almost certainly see tremendous appreciation and return on their investment. Nevermind how awesome it will be to live in an incredible new neighborhood literally springing to life around you.
Do you want to get into this area early on the upswing, ahead of the pack, and be a pace setter? Or lag behind and miss the emergence of this neighborhood and the expected price appreciation as we've seen happen in many of Boston's up and coming neighborhoods?
The Pacer is "Leading The Way at Suffolk Downs"!
